Heavy and what we thought good quailty. Then, we realized the thermometer does not work. The company was great, initially. I sent an e-mail with the problem & they sent me a new one right away. However, the new one has the same problem. I e-mailed back about the new one and I have yet to get a response! It would be a 5 star if the thermometer worked.
